Great for on-demand service via a phone line, OPI offers a simple solution that allows you to tap into a wide network of interpreters from remote locations. OPI works well for phone appointments, emergency calls, and member or user helplines.
VIDEO REMOTE INTERPRETING (VRI) SERVICES
Good for on demand or pre-scheduled remote appointments, an interpreter will join your conversation via the video calling platform of your choice. This offers a more personal touch for medical appointments, hospital visits, and more.
ONSITE INTERPRETING SERVICES
Ideal for in-person interactions, onsite interpreting services leverage visual cues and eliminate the need for technology. An interpreter, skilled in both spoken and sign language, visits your location to assist during appointments, meetings, or events.

Schedule an Interpreter (Optional) If you know in advance that you’ll need an interpreter, you can schedule one through AvantInterpret. This is not required, as AvantInterpret is designed with on-demand and emergency situations in mind.

Call In Using Phone Line or App Dial your unique Avantpage access number or open our web/mobile app on the device of your choice. You select your language, answer any questions your organization has pre-set in the platform, and your interpreter joins the call.

Speak with a Human Rep A human representative is available to guide you if you are not sure which option to select for your situation. After selecting the appropriate service, the representative will route you to an interpreter in a matter of seconds.

Interpreter Joins The Call An interpreter joins your call from a private, secure location. This is part of our commitment to HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. They introduce themselves, assist you and your caller with the conversation, and you are only billed for the time they spend on the call.

Review Your Call Data After you’ve completed your call, you can view usage data such as language, connection time, and call length. These reports are available at any time on the AvantInterpret platform. We use this data to send invoices at an agreed upon frequency. You are only billed for minutes used.
